Nektas (pronounced: Nic-tas[1]) is a Draken bonded to the Primal Nyktos.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Nektas was the first dragon given dual form by the Primal Eythos, as well as the draken that lend his flame to assist the Primal of Life in creating the first mortal. At one point, he and his mate, Halayna, became parents of a little daugter. Two years before Seraphena Mierel came into the Shadowlands, Halayna was summoned to Dalos and murdered by Kolis to punish Nektas for choosing Nyktos instead of him, after Eythos died. According to Nyktos, he could not kill Nektas as he was the First Draken and the other draken could have rebelled. Nektas loved his wife with his entire being.

Personality[]
Nektas's personality is very straight forward and blunt. He is often talking to people without lack of tact and tells them exactly what he thinks. He is wise. He shows great care and affection for Jadis and Reaver as well as Nyktos.
Physical Description[]
When in his draken form, Nektas is described as having red eyes by Sera, while Penellaphe Balfour describes his eyes to be a vivid blue. His red eyes are due to the lack of a Primal of Life. When Sera's powers manifest and her Ascension comes closer, she gets a flash of Nektas' blue eyes. The colour of his scales varies between gray and black. In his mortal form, Sera describes him as having long dark hair with crimson streaks in, while later Poppy mentions he has dark with silver streaks, though that change might be due to his age.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Draken Physiology: Nektas is able to willingly shift into his draken form. He can also manifest the clothes he was wearing before shifting, onto his body once in being in mortal form again. Due to his origins, he as an elongated life span.
- Flight: Thanks to his origins, Nektas can fly when in draken form.
- Fire Generation: Nektas can generate a silver fire through his mouth, both whilst being in mortal or draken form.
