Biography

Early Life

Loren was the second daughter of a successful trader. She claimed to go to The Red Pearl every other night.

From Blood and Ash

Tawny overheard Loren and Dafina say that the mist was gathering beyond the Blood Forest. After Casteel masquerading as Hawke Flynn, was assigned as Poppy's personal guard, Loren and Dafina joined Poppy and Tawny in the Atrium. At first she had been sewing tiny crystals onto her mask, but then watched Hawke. Loren had tried to capture Hawke's attention by spilling her crystals and then swooned from a sudden, inexplicable headache that she recovered from once Hawke smiled at her. Loren gossiped with Dafina about how she heard that Hawke frequented the Red Pearl, the diary of Willa Colyns, and the rumor that Prince Casteel, the Dark One, was near Castle Teerman. Loren expressed intrigue and was chastised by Poppy for stating that she wish that Prince Casteel was near to interrupt the dullness of her everyday life. Loren felt excitement and fear as she had never heard Poppy speak before. Loren was the first person that Poppy felt other emotion than pain. Dafina immediately pulled her from the room after apologizing.

During the Rite, Loren was standing next to the windows that exploded. As everyone flooded the great hall, Loren tried to keep Dafina alive. As Poppy attempted to pull Loren to safety to a pillar, Loren kept trying to save Dafina. Loren was then shot with an arrow to the back of the head and died.
