The Joining is an act of joining the lives of three people together. It is most commonly practiced by the Atlantians.
General Information[]
The Joining follows some general rules that have to be heeded, while at the same time there are some unknown aspects about the workings of it. The act itself has to be under the moon, among nature. It is said that there's a magical quality to it that goes beyond blood. There also have been rumors of it not working in the past—like the intentions to do it might have not genuine. Other than that, there can be nothing between the participants - meaning clothing. All of them have to be bare and open to one another, to the elements and to the Fates. The participants must remain in contact with one another throughout the entire ritual. They then have to drink from another, with the powerful person being fed upon first by the two who bind their life to theirs. Often, the ritual delves into more, becoming something sexual. But even if it doesn't, the sheer intimacy of the act goes beyond that.[1]
