Biography

Early Life

A year before Ian ascended, Ian beat Lord Mazeen in a game of poker. The Lord accused Ian of cheating, which made Poppy laugh. Lord Mazeen harassed Ian and Poppy whenever he got the chance; however, once Ian ascended, the Lord began to participate in the Duke's lessons.

From Blood and Ash

While Poppy was walking towards the garden, Lord Mazeen stops her and took Poppy to the shadowy alcoves between the doors. He stroked Poppy's face, lips, and collarbone and smelled of a flower. As Poppy attempted to leave, he caught her by the hip and placed his hand between her breasts with his groin pressed up against her back. The Lord reminded Poppy of when he and the Duke had beat her so bad, she had lost consciousness while the Duke and Lord were drunk on whiskey. As Lord Mazeen placed his mouth against her jaw, a scream interrupted them. Poppy discovered Malessa's body, which had the same faint floral smell as Lord Mazeen's fingers.

During one of Poppy's lessons, the Duke made Poppy strip half naked and bend over and grab his desk while he caned her. Lord Mazeen held her hands down to keep her from covering her body.

During the night of the Rite, Lord Mazeen was part of the group that escaped with Poppy. After Vikter dies, Lord Mazeen taunted Poppy about her lessons and Vikter. In a great rage, Poppy cut through his right arm, severed his left hand, which had been the hand that held Poppy down during the lessons, sliced his head off, and then continued to hack his body into pieces.

Physical Description

Lord Mazeen was a dark-haired man, appeared to be his mid-twenties, handsome, tall, and with pale skin and lips the color of ripe berries. His eyes were dark black.
